Giulia Casartelli (Lecco, 1986) is a lecturer, artist and curator whose work bridges verbal and visual practices through autobiographical approaches.
She holds degrees in European Studies (PhD and MA, University of Athens), Thanatology (MA, University of Padua), Anthropology (MA, University of Milano-Bicocca), and Cultural Management (BA, Bocconi University Milan).
She obtained a diploma in auto-analytical writing practices from the Anghiari Free University of Autobiography (Italy) and she is currently a trainee biographical analyst at Scuola Philo in Milan.
Between 2009 and 2015, she worked as a coordinator for international art exhibitions, including the Golden Lion-winning Armenian Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale in 2015.
In 2021, she founded the independent publishing project edizioni postali tigre with three publications to its name and distributed by Motto Berlin.
Since 2023 she has been leading self-analytical writing workshops at various institutions, including the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at Justus Liebig University in Giessen and Kuma International Sarajevo.
With Livia Andrea Piazza and Daniel Cordova, she was the editor of the volume Lives Shaping Works Making Life (bruno, 2025), a collection of conversations between the choreographer Xavier Le Roy and 24 artists on the relationship between art and life.
